Ekellin*FI has become a member of the main Cato club in Estonia
Since August 1, 2025, the Ekellin*FI cattery has officially become a member of the main Cato club in Estonia.
This step opens new opportunities for expanding the breeding program: working with new colors, developing genetic diversity, and ensuring full participation of males in breeding while maintaining their health, temperament, and the best qualities of the breed. Membership in the Estonian club allows the implementation of new plans, improves breeding quality, and strengthens the cattery’s position on the international stage.

Ekellin*FI at the International «Europe Continent Show» (CATO)
On August 9–10, 2025, our cattery participated in an exhibition on the picturesque island of Saaremaa, Estonia. We presented 5 cats — 4 beautiful females and 1 handsome male.
The team’s results were simply outstanding! All participants earned Champion titles, and our male Ascent Veres earned his next title. Each cat performed excellently in the rings and received well-deserved recognition from the judges.

Zabrina — Triumph and Audience Favorite at the CATO Exhibition in Saaremaa
At the CATO exhibition on the picturesque island of Saaremaa, our star Zabrina shone brighter than ever.
August 9, 2025
Zabrina received Ex1 CAC twice, a BIS nomination, won the Best in Show Maine Coon Adult title, and took 3rd place in Best of Best. In the Adult WCF Ring, she placed 8th out of 19 participants.
August 10, 2025
On the second day of the show, Zabrina again received Ex1 CAC and placed 4th in the Adult WCF Ring. This magnificent cat became one of the brightest stars of the show, combining professional titles with genuine audience admiration.
August 9, 2025
Zabrina received Ex1 CAC twice, a BIS nomination, won the Best in Show Maine Coon Adult title, and took 3rd place in Best of Best. In the Adult WCF Ring, she placed 8th out of 19 participants.

Ascent Veres Makes His Debut at the Saaremaa Exhibition
Our young handsome male Ascent Veres (ns25)
participated in his first exhibition on the picturesque island of Saaremaa — one of the most beautiful and popular spots in Estonia during the summer.
The show took place on August 9–10, 2025, at Salme Rahvamaja, Sõrve mnt. 5, Saaremaa, Salme.
Despite a bit of fatigue, Veres performed excellently and took an important step toward earning new titles.

On March 14–15, 2026, the WCF Europe Continent Cat Show took place on the 2nd floor of the T1 Center in Tallinn, Estonia!

All litters from the Ekellin*FI cattery are and have always been born exclusively in Finland, despite the cattery’s membership in the Estonian Cato club. Each litter receives an official pedigree number from this club. The pedigree status of a cat is determined by the presence of a registered pedigree with a unique number, regardless of whether it was issued in Finland or another country.
Please note that automatic forms used by Finnish insurance companies are often designed for Kissan Liitto and may not always correctly accept alphanumeric pedigree numbers. Nevertheless, insurance companies are obligated to accept a pedigree issued by a recognized international club and to insure the animal as a purebred, confirming its status with an official document.
