News: Ekellin*Fi has become a member of the main Cato club in Estonia
Since August 1, 2025, the Ekellin*Fi cattery has officially become a member of the main Cato club in Estonia.
This step opens up new opportunities to expand our breeding program: to work with new colors, to develop genetic diversity, and to ensure the full participation of males in breeding while preserving their health, temperament, and the best qualities of the breed.
Membership in the Estonian club allows us to realize new plans, improve the quality of breeding, and strengthen the position of our cattery on the international stage.

Ekellin*FI at the International «Europe Continent Show» (CATO)
On August 9–10, 2025, our cattery participated in a show on the picturesque island of Saaremaa, Estonia. We presented 5 cats — 4 beautiful females and 1 handsome male.
The team’s results were simply outstanding! All participants earned Champion titles, and our male, Ascent Veres, opened his next title. Each cat performed brilliantly in the rings and received recognition from the judges.

- Ekellin*FI Dalida — Ex1 CAC (×3), BIS Nomination, Best Opposite Sex Maine Coon Adult, participation in Adult WCF Ring and LH/SLH Fun Show.

Zabrina — triumph and audience favorite at the CATO Show in Saaremaa
At the CATO Show on the picturesque island of Saaremaa, our star Zabrina shone brighter than ever.

Zabrina received Ex1 CAC twice, a BIS nomination, won the title Best in Show Maine Coon Adult, and placed 3rd in Best of Best. In the Adult WCF Ring, she ranked 8th out of 19 participants.

On the second day of the show, Zabrina again received Ex1 CAC and placed 4th in the Adult WCF Ring.

Ascent Veres makes his debut at the Saaremaa Show
Our young handsome male, Ascent Veres (ns25), 2 years old, participated in his first show on the picturesque island of Saaremaa — the most beautiful and popular place in Estonia during the summer.
The show took place on August 9–10, 2025, at Salme Rahvamaja, Sõrve mnt. 5, Saaremaa, Salme.
Despite a bit of fatigue, Veres performed excellently and took an important step toward earning new titles.

News: Information for Future Owners and Insurance Companies in Finland
All litters of the Ekellin*Fi cattery have been and will continue to be born exclusively in Finland, despite our membership in the Estonian club Cato. Each litter is registered with an official pedigree number issued by this club. The purebred status of a cat is determined by the presence of a pedigree with a unique number, regardless of whether it was issued in Finland or in another country.
We would like to point out that the automated forms of Finnish insurance companies are often designed for Kissan Liitto and may not always correctly recognize pedigree numbers containing letters and digits. Nevertheless, insurance companies are obliged to accept pedigrees issued by an accredited international club and insure the animal as a purebred, with its status confirmed by the official document.
